Dan is in his mid-to-late twenties, so mid-to-late that he will actually turn thirty this year which he is very scared about. Other than playing around with pictures all day, Dan sometimes gets away with being called any of the following; writer, graphic designer, web designer, fishmonger. He likes music and therefore collects vinyl (as everyone should). He's a fan of Chelsea Football Club (and has been since birth, so none of this 'glory supporter' business please), loves a nice glass of red wine, likes to read books that make him seem cleverer than he is and often dreams about living on the Helford River in Cornwall. He met Darren & Sim in a Western bar brawl back in the 1880's and they've been the best of friends ever since, bringing justice, peace and the rule of law to the whole Wild West. Despite being on the fringes of the England football team since his teens, Dan still hopes to make the England squad for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
Julia has spent the last 5 years retraining as the world's worst housewife. In that time she has discovered the power of internet to rant, moan and get things done that you cannot do with 3 small children (like supermarket shopping and talking to adults with words with more than one syllable). In her before children life, she gained a degree in Textile Design, did a PGCE and taught (mainly) art and textiles in Secondary Schools. She has lived in many parts of mainland UK but now resides near Edinburgh.
Glenn left school at 16 and spent two years with Barclays Bank, followed by two years with IBM as a computer operator. He left IBM and for 10 years he enjoyed life as a successful fine artist. Glenn then went dispatch riding, a strange choice maybe but one forced upon him after a bike accident damaged his right wrist. After a few years risking life and limb on the road, Glenn chanced into a successful fifteen-year stint in motorcycle travel and sport as a writer and photographer. Glenn started his career as a journalist just before the dawn of the internet age. The arrival of the internet changed journalism completely but Glenn adapted quickly and contributed to websites around the world from the very early days of the web.
Stuart Witts began his career in digital marketing back when the term social media referred to the act of writing ones name on the side of the railway lines. This was a time before Dreamweaver, when the humble Notepad was the only HTML editor of choice. During his time online Stuart has worked with a variety of clients from both the B2C and B2B sectors, starred in a Sun Microsystems commercial , produced a range of designer toys, branded a sandwich shop and sold over 200 t-shirts. When not designing, Stuart tweets as @stuartwitts and blogs about anything and everything. He is convinced that social media is the saviour of mankind.
Susy went into her career (in town planning) with the aim of helping others and making the environment in which we live a better place. Nearly fifteen years later she still has the same aspiration but instead of looking solely at the built form she also looks to the internet to be part of a community and try and achieve some sense of social responsibility. She spends much of her time when not in paid employment or bringing up her young family, putting off the housework and joining the social networking crowd. Being a naturally nosey and helpful person, she’s loving promoting the website and developing a Community Manager role at cofacio.com
