An relatively old wifi router might not stream fast enough for good 4oD playback, especially if it is a long way away from your pc, or your house has thick walls, or you have lots of clutter nearby. Does 4od stream better when you are close to your router/or plugged in with a cable to your router?You can also check your connection to your house is OK by plugging a computer into your router and running broadband speed checker http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/ to see the speed you are actually getting and how it compares to what you are paying for - they should be close. by darrenrmoore

lizroz needs help with Even though my aol broadband signal says it has excellent signal strength I get a lot of pauses and patchy connection when watching iplayer or 4oD online. Any ideas??

arbymore needs help with I'm on Orange and have trouble getting a signal on my mobile at home in Dorset. How can I check which network will give me the best coverage from home and how easy is it to move suppliers.

I don't know but I'm in the same situation. I checked Orange website along with some others and they all said I should receive a good signal, but I clearly don't, so I wouldn't bank on using their website coverage maps. Next time I have a visitor on a different network I may try and find out if they have better coverage! by soosy

I agree. I'm with Orange and have no signal at home on an A-road in an urban area. They haven't offered to remedy this at all. Vodafone on the other hand say they would send out an engineer to boost the signal. Have you tried every room of your house? An upstairs window works for me! by invisible mender

It can be done if they want to enough. If it's what she wants to do give it a go - you might never look back. My youngest 'told' me she wasn't going to wear nappies anymore - and she didn't. She had less accidents than her 3YO sister! by cakeshaped

Can she sign? Make up a sign for potty/pee/ whatever so when she wants to go she can sign it. Just make sure it's an appropriate sign youdon't mind her doing in front of the other school mums by soosy

She can sign, but that is like her speech. Only when she can be bothered! We're going with it in a haphazard (wet) fashion. Will do this till summer hols in 4 weeks then blast it! by bad_housewife
