Yes, it is bad. We get 8000kbs which is what BT say we should get as part of our package. You may need to check what speed you're paying for. We were told by BT that as we're close to the exchange then we get a quicker speed than if we were much further away. BT were able to check it over the phone. If I were you I'd go to my broadband provider and see if it can be improved. by soosy

It really depends what speed service you are subscribed to and how far away from the exchange you are (if you are using ADSL). Can you confirm your ISP and the service that you are paying for? (1mb, 100mb, 20mb and so on) by Dave

arbymore needs help with I'm using Vista on my PC and my memory is nearly full. I've only got few photos and no videos taking up space. What else could it be and how can I clear it.

When you say memory, do you mean Hard Disk space as opposed to RAM? You could do a search (using advanced search) for files that are bigger than say 5mb and see if you can delete any of those. Its also worth clearing your Internet temporary files via your browser menus as they can easily mount up to a couple of GB. by Dave

Press Start. Then Assesories. Go to system tools and press clean disk. This will tell you how much space you can clean up. After that, defragment your computer. All drives. This should free up some space. by l0ract

arbymore needs help with I'm on Orange and have trouble getting a signal on my mobile at home in Dorset. How can I check which network will give me the best coverage from home and how easy is it to move suppliers.

I don't know but I'm in the same situation. I checked Orange website along with some others and they all said I should receive a good signal, but I clearly don't, so I wouldn't bank on using their website coverage maps. Next time I have a visitor on a different network I may try and find out if they have better coverage! by soosy

I agree. I'm with Orange and have no signal at home on an A-road in an urban area. They haven't offered to remedy this at all. Vodafone on the other hand say they would send out an engineer to boost the signal. Have you tried every room of your house? An upstairs window works for me! by invisible mender
