I suggest swimming Stuart, I'm into running but did too much to soon and damaged my knees. Swimming is less fun in my opinion but better for those of us who don't exercise as often as we should. by sim

What's your goal? And do you have any types of exercise that you like best? by Lucy

I qualified as a personal trainer. The first piece of advice is see your doctor before starting a new fitness regime.Set out your goals - lose weight, tone up, run a 10K - be realistic. Then depending on what you want to do, I would advise doing something in a group or with a trainer. There are some reasonable ex British Army fitness programmes that run around the country. I would also recommend using a personal trainer to get you started on the correct programme and to help motivate you. Once started and you are seeing the benefits, it will more likely become a way of life and you can continue on your own.Good luck. by christopherbristow

Also think about lifestyle changes. Think less of 'exercise' and more of 'movement' ie: more walking/cycling in your daily routine rather than having to spend time and money on the gym. by Lucy

That's a good point, even climbing the stairs instead of taking the lift makes a difference by sim
